What it Means to Be Secure by Design | CISA | DHS
Products designed with Secure by Design principles prioritize the security of customers as a core business requirement, rather than merely treating it as a technical feature. During the design phase of a product’s development lifecycle, companies should implement Secure by Design principles to significantly decrease the number of exploitable flaws before introducing them to the market for widespread use or consumption. Role:
My logo and art direction were chosen to visually represent Secure by Design. The bold, impactful colors are meant to draw attention and stand in contrast to the more conventional design approaches typically seen in this space. The use of a typographic blueprint concept reinforces the ‘by Design’ element, emphasizing intentionality and structure. Altogether, the design captures the energy and enthusiasm that former CISA Director Jen Easterly brings to this forward-looking initiative.
